Strength from Weakness and Failure
Dearest Lord Jesus, give me the courage to be real about the good and not-so-good within me. Help me learn and grow from my mistakes and damage. Give me courage to keep moving forward in the hope that my efforts and desires are in your service and may be useful to others in the world of hurt we live in now. Forgive me for the hurt I have created and all damage that has been done on my behalf. Let me take my strength from those around me who care enough to help. I pray that I may find joy and love

For All the Suffering in the World
Heavenly Father - please be with the families and friends of the 96 people who died in the fires in Australia yesterday. Pour your healing spirit over the country and raise up those who struggle to put out the fires and restore the earth. We ask you to bless all who suffer from any disease, natural disaster, mental illness, poverty, hunger, war, personal disaster, fear or any other affliction today. We know you are there holding us close and we thank you for your constant love and grace. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Deacon Christina Williams
Dear All: I just received word that Deacon Christina Williams died peacefully sometime last nite at home. Carolyn Bolton had been calling her and when she received no response had a neighbor check.. Christina has been on oxygen 24/7 for a long time, in addition to diabetes. She was a quiet but strong womenwho treasured her independence. Services have not been arranged as yet, awaiting the arrival of her daughter. As soon as we have information I will let everyone know. Christina was ordained Dec 7, 2002 and served at St. Augustine's after her ordination until her illness forced her to retire.Receive your Servant, Christina as she returns to you, may angels surround her and saints welcome her in peace. For Miss Freckles
Thank you, Lord, for our dear pets who keep us warm in the dark moments. Bless my baby Freckles and keep her healthy and with me for a while longer. Help me to manage her diabetes well and do what is good for her. Bless our relationship that is more than pet and owner. Thank you for every day I have had with her. In Jesus' name. Amen.

A Four-fold Franciscan Blessing
May God bless us with a restless discomfort about easy answers, half-truths and superficial relationships, so that we may seek truth boldly and love deep within our hearts.
May God bless us with holy anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that we may tirelessly work for justice, freedom, and peace among all people.
May God bless us with the gift of tears to shed with those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, or the loss of all that they cherish, so that we may reach out our hand to comfort them and transform their pain into joy.
May God bless us with enough foolishness to believe that we really CAN make a difference in this world, so that we are able, with God’s grace, to do what others claim cannot be done.
And the blessing of God the Supreme Majesty and our Creator, Jesus Christ the Incarnate Word who is our brother and Saviour, and the Holy Spirit, our Advocate and Guide,be with us and remain with us, this day and forevermore.

Strength for the Heart
Dear Lord and now the work begins. Please bless the Area Ministry program that is underway in the East Bay and all those who are looking for a new way of doing ministry and being church. Let us be light for our corner of the world and give us strength of heart to do the Lord's work. In Jesus name we pray. Amen and Amen and Amen again.
